Kabza De Small (real name Kabelo Motha) is a popular DJ in South Africa. He has been considered King of Amapiano, a relatively new music genre in South Africa. He is most known for his two hit songs Amantombazane, Amabele Shaya and Umshove.
Background
Kabza is originally from Mpumalanga, but he grew up and spent much of his childhood in Pretoria.
Music Career
Kabza started his career as a DJ in 2009. Kabza eventually released his first album called Avenue Sounds in 2016 under Best By Far Entertainment and House Afrika Records.
He has since worked with several popular artists including Gaba Canal, Afrosoul Sax, Josiah, Kopzz Avenue, and Tribe Franko.
In 2019 he released Scorpion Kings, a joint project with DJ Maphorisa, in 2019.
Achievements
- In 2019, Kabza De Small was the Most Streamed South African Artist on Spotify by SA Audiences. He was followed by DJ Maphorisa, Nasty C, and Prince Kaybee.
